Public Sculpture

A common theme running throughout Coral Penelope Lambert's work is an interest in the dynamic forces of nature as evidenced in natural phenomena such as the ever changing clouds or the shifting plates of the earth. Her sculpture has a resonance related to growth and form, transformation and wonderment.

The outdoor work is at the mercy of the landscape and the weather,  interacting with presence in their place. Holding their location with a calm insistence, the sculptures become a metaphor conveying the transient and fragile nature of life, yet still resilient full of energy and strength in the path of the storm.

It is her intention that people interact with the work, she creates nooks for sittiing on and sometmes inside the work which accommodates moments for contemplation.
